Here’s an introduction to some of the dedicated people who are delivering your new town with passion and pride. All have a common goal; a passionate commitment to turn our vision for Shawfair into an exciting reality.

Andrew Mickel, Director, Mactaggart & Mickel

Andrew is the former Chairman of Homes for Scotland and a Shawfair Board Director. He also leads a community development project in the East End of Glasgow and is currently Director of an arts and music venue, SWG3 in Glasgow.

Anna Wright, Senior Engineer, Ironside Farrar

Anna is involved with the design of the surface water drainage systems at Shawfair, and with supervising their construction on site.

Anthony Aitken, UK Head of Planning , Colliers

Proud Town Planner with over 25 years-experience and with strong belief in a healthy work/life balance. Tony is leading Shawfair through the planning process into its delivery phases.

Christopher Gray, Associate , Optimised Environments

Chris is an architect and landscape architect with particular professional experience in complex masterplanning, urban design and strategic landscape framework projects. Shawfair's Town Centre design is under his control.

David Peck, Managing Director, Buccleuch Property

David manages the overall implementation of the Buccleuch Property investment and development strategy and is a Board Director of Shawfair LLP.

Ed Monaghan, Chief Executive, Mactaggart & Mickel

Ed Monaghan has over 35 years of experience in the housebuilding industry. He is a Shawfair Board Director and also sits on the board of a local charity, Rosemount and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Gareth Roberts, Technical Manager, Sweco

Gareth is responsible for leading Sweco's input to the design of the civil engineering elements at Shawfair on a day to day basis and ensuring successful project delivery.

Ian Davidson, Associate Director, Thomas & Adamson

A bit of an expert in the field of quantity surveying, ensuring everything at Shawfair is in budget and the finances are planned accurately.

Ian Dewar, Senior Project Manager, Thomas & Adamson

Ian manages all aspects of project coordination and control, keeping everyone in order and everything on time.

Ian Logan, Associate, Optimised Environments

Ian is a landscape architect and associate at OPEN and has been providing key design and project management roles at Shawfair for over ten years.

James Macleod, Finance Director, Buccleuch Property

James is responsible for raising finance, running the corporate and Joint Venture structures and assisting with strategic business planning at Buccleuch Property and as a Shawfair LLP Board Director.

Julie Moulsdale, Managing Director, Perceptive Communicators

Julie is the founding partner at Perceptive Communicators and drives communications strategy and management for Shawfair.

Mark Chapman, Director, Ironside Farrar

Mark is a Director at Ironside Farrar and has been involved in the Sustainable Drainage System design at Shawfair since its inception in 2002 leading coordination with the Council and SEPA.

Mike Jones, Technical Manager, Sweco

Mike's role in the project is the coordination of the delivery of power, gas, heat and telecommunications provision to the new development including support to the new district heating network.

Nick Waugh, Commercial Property Director, Buccleuch Property

Nick leads the Buccleuch Property part of the Shawfair LLP, as a Board Director and in terms of delivery strategy covering all parts of successfully developing the masterplan.

Paul McAninch, Group Finance Director, Mactaggart & Mickel

Paul is a Board Director of Shawfair LLP and leads Mactaggart & Mickel Group's financial and communications technologies strategies and a previous Chair of the Scottish Finance Directors Group.

Pol MacDonald, Director, Optimised Environments

Pol is a founding Director of OPEN with over 25 years of experience in the built environment, with qualifications in architecture and landscape architecture, and is passionate about how social and cultural trends influence our everyday places.
